Job Summary
Teach mathematics to middle school students in Cypress, TX. Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and TEA guidelines, reflecting accommodations for diverse learning needs. Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula for IEPs, assess student achievement through formal and informal methods, sponsor approved extracurricular activities, and foster a positive, professional learning environment. Maintain effective communication with parents, students, and colleagues; support mission of the district; manage classroom behavior and ensure safety of students and materials. Participate in staff development, comply with regulations, and attend faculty meetings; may serve on committees.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned
