Job Summary
Elementary 4th Grade English Language Arts & Reading teacher at Metcalf Elementary School. Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons aligned with district curriculum, using varied instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learners, collaborating with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs, assessing student growth through formal and informal methods, supervising extracurricular activities as sponsor, maintaining student behavior and classroom environment, and communicating professionally with parents and colleagues. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the assigned subject/level, and demonstrated subject-area competency. Probationary/Term Contract for 187 days; salary is Pay Grade T60. Ability to participate in staff development and comply with relevant regulations.
