Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area for 1st grade, including planning and implementing lessons aligned with district curriculum; accommodate diverse learning styles; assess student achievement; collaborate with special education to modify curricula per IEP; use technology to support instruction; communicate with parents and maintain professional relationships; supervise teacher aides and volunteers; sponsor extracurricular activities as assigned; participate in staff development and adhere to state/district policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
