Job Summary
1st Grade bilingual classroom teacher responsible for developing and implementing lessons aligned with district curriculum and TEA guidelines; collaborates with special education staff to modify curricula for IEPs; uses technology to enhance instruction; conducts ongoing assessment of student achievement; plans and supervises teacher aides and volunteers; sponsors extracurricular activities and maintains open communication with parents and staff; maintains professional conduct and adheres to district policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- ESL certification required within 60 days of hire
- Experience: At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
