Job Summary
1st Grade teacher responsible for planning and delivering in-person lessons, assessing student learning, collaborating with Special Education, managing classroom behavior, and engaging families, while complying with district and TEA guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in subject assigned
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate in English as a Second Language – Required for all Core Subject Teachers
- CTE Teachers: Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Prekindergarten and Kindergarten Teachers: Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood
- Physical Education Teachers: Current automated external defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate
- Experience: Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
