Job Summary
TD/Director leads and oversees live broadcast productions for QVC Group brands (QVC and HSN), directing technically and aesthetically to control the customers’ viewing experience in real time. Responsibilities include directing technically challenging shows with video switcher operation, operating robotic cameras, coordinating graphics, sound, and blocking, reviewing video clips and graphics against rundowns, maintaining production standards, communicating with line producers, hosts, and control room staff, developing camera angles and shot sequences, coordinating with Master Control and Engineering, and training/leading the broadcast team. Requires an undergraduate degree in Broadcast Media or related field and 6+ years of live broadcast experience; hands-on proficiency with broadcast equipment and directorial/technical directing expertise. Onsite role in West Chester, PA with no relocation assistance; requires flexibility to work days, nights, weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Media, Communications or related field
- 6+ years live broadcast television production experience
- Directing/technical directing experience
- Hands-on working knowledge of broadcasting equipment (audio consoles, graphics generators, video switchers, playback servers, robotic and manual cameras)
- Knowledge of QVC processes and procedures
