TCT Afterschool Instructor

Job Summary
Lead and supervise a classroom of students after school, create and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with program goals, use storytelling, art, music, science, and exploration to spark imagination and learning, track student attendance and sign-in/out logs, foster positive behavior with incentive systems to support student growth, partner with school teachers, site coordinators, and parents to support each child’s success, communicate with supervisors and caregivers to resolve issues and celebrate achievements, attend trainings and professional development to grow skills, maintain confidentiality and a positive, collaborative team spirit, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Working toward an Associate’s degree or higher in education (or two years of college credits)
- At least 1 year of experience leading groups of children in educational settings
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- CPR/First Aid/AED certified (or willing to obtain)
- Must pass Level 2 background check and drug test
