Job Summary
The position requires the application of traffic control plans and techniques for installation and removal, overseeing flaggers to meet DOT requirements, and ensuring safety for fellow workers and the public. Candidates must possess an active certification in ATSSA or TCS, with a high school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver's license and experience in traffic control or construction is desired. Job responsibilities include reading and interpreting plans, performing flagging activities, and working effectively in dynamic environments. Physical demands include lifting 50 pounds or more and performing a variety of physical activities in outdoor conditions.
Required Qualifications
- An active certification in ATSSA or TCS.
- High School diploma or GED is highly preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record to drive an F350 barricade truck.
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to be effective and efficient.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in traffic control or construction environment desired.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient user of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook; willingness and ability to learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; ability to maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with all customers (internal/external)
Additional Requirements
- Participation in federally compliant PHMSA or FMSCA drug and alcohol testing programs required including both pre-employment and ongoing random testing.
