Job Summary
The position involves applying traffic control plans, reading and interpreting specifications in the field, performing traffic control and flagging, designing temporary traffic control plans, and overseeing flaggers to ensure compliance with DOT requirements. Candidates must possess an active ATSSA or TCS certification and a valid driver’s license. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Physical demands include lifting 50 pounds, operating in outdoor conditions, and meeting DOT safety standards. Competitive compensation is available, aligned with union pay scales.
Required Qualifications
- An active certification in ATSSA or TCS
- High School diploma or GED is highly preferred
- Requires technical thinking, and the ability to read standards and schematics
- Valid Driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record to drive an F350 barricade truck
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in traffic control or construction environment desired
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to be effective and efficient
- Proficient user of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook; willingness and ability to learn
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; ability to maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with all customers (internal/external)
