Job Summary
Q3 Contracting is hiring certified Traffic Controllers (TCS) to design and implement traffic control plans for job sites in the Denver Metropolitan Area. Responsibilities include applying traffic control techniques, reading and interpreting plans, and overseeing flaggers to ensure compliance with DOT requirements. The role demands technical thinking, active ATSSA or TCS certification, and a valid driver’s license. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, experience in traffic control or construction, and the ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- An active certification in ATSSA or TCS certification is required
- Valid Driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record to drive an F350 barricade truck
- Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds or more on a daily and continual basis
- Must be dependable and able to perform physically demanding work in the elements
- Ability to drive on a stop and start basis daily and continually
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in traffic control or construction environment
- Proficient user of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to be effective and efficient
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with all customers (internal/external)
Additional Requirements
- Participation in federally compliant PHMSA or FMSCA drug and alcohol testing programs required
