Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant to collect blood samples, process routine and specialty testing, obtain and process doctor orders, and provide patient/customer service in Mountain View Hospital. Responsibilities include proper patient identification and labeling of samples, transporting and delivering specimens to the laboratory, handling laboratory supplies, ensuring competent and quality clinical care, adherence to policies, performance of CLIA-waived moderate testing, maintaining quality control, organizing requisitions and scanning lab results into the EMR, and mentoring new staff. The role requires collaboration with nursing, clerical, medical and allied health staff, and may involve reporting results to ordering doctors and supporting a wide range of laboratory processes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS Certification
- Graduation from an accredited Health Sciences program or higher
- Current CMA certificate/license
- Valid driver's license
