Job Summary
Deliver a comprehensive English program in accordance with state law, West Virginia Board of Education, and county policies and regulations. Teach English/language arts at the 6-8 grade level while maintaining certification or qualifying for AP course instruction. Adhere to duties outlined in the Putnam County Schools Job Description Handbook. This 200-day position begins September 9, 2026, with an application deadline of 4:00 pm on the closing date.
Required Qualifications
- Holds or qualifies for a West Virginia Professional or Temporary Teaching Certificate endorsed for English, English/language arts, or language arts at the grade levels applicable to this assignment (6-8)
- Be or be willing to become certified to teach AP courses
