Job Summary
Conduct evaluations, screenings, and assessments to determine student eligibility for related services, then develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with IDEA and ECEA requirements. Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy and/or physical therapy services to support students in developing fine motor, gross motor, sensory, mobility, and adaptive skills necessary for educational participation. Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress toward therapy goals, recommend adaptive equipment and assistive technology, and facilitate transition planning for postsecondary readiness. Maintain accurate, legally compliant documentation including service logs, evaluation reports, and progress data while adhering to state and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Must possess or qualify for a valid Colorado license appropriate to the assigned discipline
- Occupational Therapists must possess a valid Colorado Occupational Therapist license
- Physical Therapists must possess a valid Colorado Physical Therapist license
- Ability to obtain and maintain all credentials required by state and federal regulations
- Experience providing school-based therapy services
- Experience participating in multidisciplinary evaluation and eligibility processes
- Experience developing and implementing therapy plans and accommodations
- Experience collaborating with educational teams and families
- Experience working with assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and accessibility supports
- Knowledge of IDEA, ECEA, and special education service delivery requirements
- Knowledge of assessment tools, therapeutic interventions, and disability-related supports
- Strong consultation, communication, and collaboration skills
- Regular attendance is essential
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
