Job Summary
Conduct Social Studies instruction for grades 9-12 in the St. Lucie County School District. Deliver curriculum aligned with state standards and engage students in critical analysis of historical events and civic concepts. Maintain classroom management and foster an inclusive learning environment. Submit lesson plans, assessments, and progress reports as required by district policy. Complete all pre-employment fingerprint and drug screen clearance prior to hiring. Provide accurate responses to background check inquiries regarding prior employment and certifications. Submit court disposition documents if applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Must receive a negative drug test result prior to being hired
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be a United States citizen or otherwise legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must provide a document verifying current teaching certification status
- Must provide a court disposition for any sealed or expunged records if selected
- Must attach a copy of DD-214 if claiming Veteran's Preference
