Job Summary
Teach middle school physical education with full-time status in West Palm Beach, FL, following district policies and state requirements. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining Florida educator certification, submitting official transcripts, and complying with background screening, drug testing, and any required medical examinations. The role involves instructional duties in physical education, meeting district expectations for employment, and adhering to district policies and procedures related to professional certification, testing, and eligibility. Other duties may be assigned as required by the School District of Palm Beach County.
Required Qualifications
- Florida Educator’s Certificate (or eligibility)
- Statement of Eligibility or active out-of-state certification (if applicable)
- Official transcripts from all colleges/universities
- Possession or eligibility for Florida educator certification
- Background screening clearance through AHCA/Care Provider Clearinghouse (upon offer)
- Pre-employment medical examination where required
- Drug testing as per Board Policy
- Keyboarding test for certain clerical positions (if applicable)
- Ability to meet safety and performance requirements for the position
