Job Summary
Instructional/counseling role for ESOL-certified school counselor in Palm Beach County. Responsibilities and requirements include maintaining and presenting Florida educator certification (Florida Educator’s Certificate or Florida Statement of Eligibility), providing ESOL-related student guidance, coordinating background screening through AHCA and the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, and submitting official transcripts and foreign credential evaluations as needed. Applicants may be subject to drug testing and, for certain non-instructional clerical positions, a keyboarding test (WPM). The district emphasizes compliance with district policies and district-level procedures, including background checks and credential verification. The position is based in Boca Raton, Florida (US) and requires in-person duties within the school environment. Required Qualifications
- Florida Educator’s Certificate or Florida Statement of Eligibility
- Official transcripts from all colleges/universities
- Active/Valid Out-of-State Certification (if applicable)
- Foreign credential evaluation from a FLDOE-approved agency (for foreign credentials)
- Background screening through AHCA and Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse (if finalists)
- Submission of records related to education/credentials as requested
- Possession of certification information if teaching position requires certification
