Job Summary
Conduct ESOL certification training and school counseling duties in accordance with School Board Policy 3.10. Submit required federal, state, and School Board forms to complete employment eligibility. Adhere to the District's drug and alcohol-free workplace policy, including mandatory drug testing and potential pre-employment medical examinations. Provide background screening clearance through the Agency for Health Care Administration and the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. Submit official transcripts and Florida Educator's Certificate upon job offer. Comply with all adopted policies, procedures, and the District's Mission Statement while acting in the best interest of students.
Required Qualifications
- Florida Educator's Certificate
- Statement of Eligibility (Letter from the Florida Department of Education)
- Active/Valid Out-of-State Certification (if applicable)
- Official transcripts from all colleges or universities from which you earned a degree
- Educational credentials from institutions accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- Foreign education evaluated by an agency approved by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) for college-level education
- Completion of forms required by federal and state agencies and the School Board
- Completion of forms related to the employee benefits package
- Compliance with School Board Policy 3.10 procedures
- Medical clearance from professionals selected by the School Board (if applicable)
- Passing a drug test (subject to School Board Policy 3.96 or 3.961)
- Passing a background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
