Job Summary
Conduct oneself in the best interest of students in accordance with the highest traditions of public education and the District's Mission Statement. Follow adopted policies and procedures aligned with School Board priorities. Perform other duties as assigned. Submit required documents upon being offered an instructional job, including Florida Educator's Certificate, Statement of Eligibility, and official transcripts from all colleges. Complete forms designated by the Superintendent and School Board Policy 3.10, including federal and state agency forms and employee benefits forms. Undergo drug testing pursuant to School Board Policy 3.96 or 3.961, and if applicable, a pre-employment medical examination and background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of forms required by federal and state agencies and the School Board
- Completion of forms related to the employee benefits package
- Compliance with School Board Policy 3.10 procedures
- Drug and alcohol-free workplace compliance
- Completion of drug testing pursuant to School Board Policy 3.96 or 3.961
- Medical clearance from professionals selected by the School Board (if applicable)
- Physical examination and/or testing for potentially impairing, disabling, communicable and terminal diseases or conditions (if applicable)
- Word per minute (WPM) requirement for the given position (for clerical positions)
- Background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
- Florida Educator's Certificate (for instructional positions requiring certification)
- Statement of Eligibility (Letter from the Florida Department of Education)
- Active/Valid Out-of-State Certification (if applicable)
- Official transcripts from all colleges or universities from which a degree was earned
- Educational credentials from institutions accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- Foreign education evaluation by an agency approved by the Florida Department of Education (if applicable)
