Job Summary
Taylor Middle School requires a Social Studies Teacher/Coach to provide engaging instruction in the core social studies curriculum, design learning activities that support intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth, manage student behavior, and collaborate with the principal and campus staff. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or DOI-related waivers, demonstrated competency in the core subject, and current AED/CPR certification for Physical Education teachers. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, plus the ability to instruct and develop curriculum and assessments, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- AED and CPR certificate for Physical Education Teachers (current)
