Job Summary
Taylor Middle School ELA Teacher delivers core ELA instruction, develops curriculum, and monitors student growth. Requires a bachelor's degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or related training under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI). Candidates should demonstrate competency in the core academic subject area, knowledge of curriculum and instruction, ability to instruct students and manage behavior, and strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Prior student teaching or related internship experience is expected. Reports to the principal and works within the assigned campus to enable students to develop the competencies needed for success in society.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
