Job Summary
Review complex tax returns, identify non-routine tax issues, and recommend solutions while gathering information for preparing returns, protests, briefs, memoranda, and reports. Oversee the preparation workflow, assist staff with resolving tax issues, and review returns prepared by others. Communicate professionally with clients, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders, keeping management informed about engagement progress. Prepare performance reviews, participate in staff training, and provide direction to ensure continued team improvement. Maintain strong working knowledge of applicable tax codes and regulations. This role supports a growing public accounting team in a hybrid environment, focusing on deeper tax planning and direct client involvement across diverse industries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum of three years of public accounting experience
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in taxation or MAcc with tax focus
- CPA credential
