Job Summary
Coordinate various phases of engagements, including logistics, staff requirements, client meetings, and job planning and scheduling in partnership with managers or partners. Direct engagements and special assignments while demonstrating leadership skills and setting an ethical and technical example for direct reports. Prepare complex tax returns and oversee completed work, providing constructive feedback and researching technical issues. Develop and train staff by offering technical guidance, coaching on work papers, and preparing performance reviews. Manage client relationships as the primary point of contact during engagements and contribute to staff development through delegation. Demonstrate specialization by serving on tax committees and developing a professional network of referral sources. Complete special projects as assigned while maintaining integrity, trust, respect, accountability, and caring in all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Bachelor's degree with an accounting concentration or equivalent
- 2 years of experience with a CPA or EA OR 3 years of experience without a CPA or EA
- EA, CPA or actively pursuing your CPA as demonstrated by currently scheduled for or have taken an exam in the past 12 months with the intentions of obtaining their CPA within 18 month of starting the process
- Strong working knowledge of tax law and other professional standards/regulations
- Experience preparing less complex returns for S-Corporations, C-Corporations, LLC's, Partnerships, high wealth individuals, consolidated or multi-state returns and nonprofits
