Job Summary
Tax Staff II will organize and coordinate clients’ tax data for accurate, timely completion of individual tax returns and simple-to moderately complex corporate, partnership, S-Corp, and trust tax returns. You'll gain exposure to a variety of industries and entity types, preparing federal and state income tax returns, drafting responses to IRS/state tax notices, researching tax laws, analyzing client data, and assisting with depreciation, trial balances, and tax planning strategies. Collaboration with team members is essential to ensure deliverables are accurate and timely; hybrid work environment with in-office training and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation (required)
- Eligible to sit for the CPA exam (150 credit hours completed or in progress), or actively pursuing certification
- Staff II accountants typically have a minimum of one year of public accounting experience in a Tax department.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and tax concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills applicable to a client environment
- Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
