Tax Staff Accountant

Job Summary
Conduct tax compliance, prepare projections, and draft correspondence to tax authorities while assisting with federal and state agency inquiries. Maintain frequent client contact to provide updates, answer general questions, and request necessary information for tax filings. Identify potential tax issues, discuss them with team members, and review tax law developments to determine applicability. Prepare tax returns for review and address all review notes thoroughly. Participate in internal training and actively prepare for CPA exam completion. This full-time role in Atlanta, GA, offers hands-on experience in public accounting to support clients' success and build strong relationships within a supportive, fast-paced team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Understanding of basic accounting procedures and GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multitask
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of 150 credit hours for CPA licensure is highly desirable
- Actively prepare for CPA exam completion
