Job Summary
As a Tax Specialist at Dominion Energy, you will serve as a technical resource on tax planning, compliance, and research, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing tax returns, advising management on tax implications, and conducting audits. You will need advanced knowledge of tax laws and excellent interpersonal skills to guide projects and train co-workers. A Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance, and 7-8+ years of relevant experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- 7-8+ years of experience in tax laws and tax accounting practices and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of tax research methods and ability to interpret tax laws.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple work assignments and ensure deadlines are met.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP software.
Desired Qualifications
- CPA, JD or other appropriate professional certification preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6 will be considered.
