Job Summary
Support the VP Tax in managing the Company's tax obligations, ensuring compliance with all applicable local and international tax laws and regulations. Ensure the delivery of accurate and timely compliance with all tax filing, reporting, and payment obligations across relevant jurisdictions. Prepare tax computations, provisions, returns, and supporting documentation, including posting tax provision journals to the general ledger and reconciling tax balances. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess their potential impact, and coordinate responses to tax authority matters. Act as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors, providing information, documentation, and analysis to support audit requirements. Identify and implement opportunities to enhance tax processes, controls, and operational efficiency. Provide support to the broader Finance team on tax and finance related matters.
Required Qualifications
- AITI qualified
- 1–5+ years' post-qualification experience in a tax role
- Tax Accounting experience
- Strong understanding of corporate tax compliance and reporting requirements
- Willingness to travel as required to engage with external tax advisers
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications
- ACA or ACCA qualification in addition
- Exposure to the aviation leasing sector
- Working knowledge of US corporate tax
- Ability to interpret and apply technical tax knowledge
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive and self-motivated
