Job Summary
Lead preparation of complex partnership and high net worth individual tax returns, while contributing to corporate, fiduciary, and tax-exempt entity filings. Coordinate multi-state tax returns with staff and managers to ensure compliance, and conduct independent research on evolving tax laws. Address client needs with value-added solutions and maintain accurate billing records. Assist in training and development of less experienced staff and interns. Requires 3-5 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting with real estate exposure, a Bachelor's in accounting (Graduate in Tax preferred), and CPA licensure or eligibility. Proficiency in CCH ProSystem Tax and MS Office is essential.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting setting
- strong focus on high net worth individual returns and partnership returns
- Industry exposure to real estate
- Bachelors degree in accounting
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Proficient in CCH ProSystem Tax
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to the tax field through participation in professional interests
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed CPA
- minimum 150 credits
- eligibility to sit for the CPA exam if not already licensed
- Graduate degree in Tax
- Preferred proficiency in Prosystem Engagement
- Preferred proficiency in Quickbooks
- Preferred proficiency in CCH Axcess
- Preferred proficiency in BNA
