Job Summary
Assist senior professionals with IRS examinations, appeals matters, and account issues including penalty and interest abatements, missed elections, and private letter ruling requests. Research technical issues regarding statutes of limitation, tax assessments, and alternative dispute resolution techniques. Prepare written communications to the IRS and work on IRS account corrections and reconciliations. Manage multiple priorities to meet client service and performance expectations within applicable deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong research and writing skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to meet client service, quality, and performance expectations within applicable deadlines and in accordance with firm and client standards
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with firm personnel and clients in person, by telephone, and through electronic or written means
- Effective project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and quality of work in a fast paced, client service environment
