Job Summary
Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and consolidated tax returns, providing constructive feedback to ensure quality. Perform and review quarterly and annual accounting procedures to prepare financial records for tax purposes, while calculating estimated tax liabilities and conducting tax planning to identify opportunities for clients. Research and resolve complex tax issues, ensuring accurate data for filings and communicating missing information to stakeholders. Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns to enhance team performance, while managing engagements efficiently to meet deadlines, particularly during high-demand periods. Contribute to team efforts through collaborative problem-solving and ongoing training to stay updated on tax laws and best practices. Meet annual billable hour targets and fulfill individual performance goals within a full-time commitment.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation
- CPA license or eligible
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- In-depth understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and accounting tools
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and document reviews
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Analytical skills to solve complex tax issues and understand broader financial implications
- Leadership and mentoring abilities to supervise and develop junior staff
