Tax Senior Associate

Job Summary
Coordinate with external tax advisors and fund accountants to facilitate timely preparation of fund tax return filings and K-1 reporting. Review tax return workpapers, allocations, and estimates while partnering on quarterly projections, withholding, and estimated payments. Provide guidance on year-end reporting (Forms 1099, 1042) and manage federal, state, and local tax notices and audit responses. Collaborate with the Tax Team, investor relations, and internal administrators to support responses to investor requests and ensure proper booking of new structures. Use independent judgement to set priorities, assist with ad-hoc projects, and prepare documents, presentations, and structure charts. Maintain and update tax databases and trackers while assisting with the migration to AI-based software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant or J.D./LL.M.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or the credit, alternative assets or private equity sector
- Experienced tax professional
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Able to effectively articulate tax concepts and issues to non-tax professionals
- Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Adobe
- E-Verify work authorization
Desired Qualifications
