Job Summary
Review and analyze tax returns, prepare working papers for non-assurance clients, and assist the assurance team with tax provision reviews. Manage client risk while advising on corporate tax services including planning, research, compliance, and tax accounting. Train junior staff members and collaborate on cross-functional teams to mitigate risk and optimize core tax functions. Recognize new business opportunities and extended service needs for existing clients. Stay current on tax law changes and ensure research conclusions align with firm policies. Some travel may be required. This role supports RSM's expanding Canada Tax practice in India, focusing on advising public and private multinational enterprises through digitally-enabled tax services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- CPA Designation completed or in progress
- 2+ years of experience in Public Accounting preferably in a tax focused role
- Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements
- Experience of the following product lines: Corporations-T2, Partnerships-T5013 and Trusts-T3 and Individual Taxation -T1
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Some travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- preferably in Accounting or related field of study
- Working towards or completion of Masters of Tax or CPA
- In-depth Tax Program
- Experience with surplus calculations and Federal M&A work
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience in dealing with international tax matters and tax review
