Job Summary
Conduct face-to-face and virtual tax interviews, prepare complete returns, and generate business growth by offering additional products and services. Provide clients with IRS support and audit representation for Circular 230 associates while mentoring teammates. Complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment and all continuing education requirements to meet IRS and state standards. This seasonal role supports clients in making informed decisions about their finances within a fast-paced environment, backed by advanced tax training.
Required Qualifications
- Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
- Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
- Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
- Provide clients with IRS support
- All certification levels can provide tax notice services
- Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
- Mentor and support teammates
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
- Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
- Experience completing individual returns
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
- Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
- Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
- High school diploma / equivalent or higher
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
- Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
- Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
- Experience with tax planning and audit support
- Sales and/or marketing experience
