Tax Principal, Real Estate

Tax Principal in Baker Tilly’s National Real Estate Practice leading federal tax compliance and advisory services for real estate clients. You will lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters, oversee tax research and complex projects, coordinate with specialty tax practices, mentor staff, contribute to growth through business development and proposals, and represent the firm at clients and community events. The role requires deep tax expertise in real estate, the ability to manage engagements and teams, travel nationally, and a track record of building out a book of business. A Bachelor's degree is required, with Masters or an advanced degree desirable; CPA or JD or Enrolled Agent designation is required or strongly preferred; 15+ years of federal tax experience in professional services and 5+ years of supervisory experience are expected. Must demonstrate leadership, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and project-management skills, commitment to ongoing learning, and high ethical standards.
