Job Summary
Conduct full-service tax return preparation, providing expert advice, calculations, and software support for personal and business clients. Facilitate discovery sessions to uncover deductions, minimize liabilities, and deliver personalized tax planning. Act as a community ambassador by driving local growth through targeted outreach, grassroots marketing, and organizing financial literacy workshops. Connect clients with complementary services like bookkeeping and payroll to build long-term relationships and a thriving local portfolio. Deliver exceptional in-person and virtual customer experiences while navigating complex scenarios involving life events or investments.
Required Qualifications
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season
- Comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location
- Availability primarily between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday
- Minimum of 20 hours per week
- Willingness to complete all required training and development
- Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert
- Proficiency with technology, including tax preparation software and CRM/sales tools
Desired Qualifications
- EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience
- Extensive knowledge of tax laws
- Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
- Passion for empowering customers and helping them overcome the complexities of taxation
- Passion for the local community and engagement with Intuit's presence in the local community
- Entrepreneurial and self-driven with a business ownership mindset
