Job Summary
Conduct full-service tax return preparation, providing expert advice, calculations, and software support for personal and business clients. Facilitate discovery sessions to uncover deductions, minimize liabilities, and deliver personalized tax planning while connecting customers with bookkeeping, payroll, and financial planning specialists. Act as a proactive community ambassador by identifying prospects, organizing local events like financial literacy workshops, and driving client loyalty through targeted outreach. Deliver a best-in-class customer experience via in-person and virtual interactions, addressing inquiries and helping clients overcome tax challenges with empathy and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season
- Comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location
- Availability primarily between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday
- Minimum of 20 hours per week
- Willingness to complete all required training and development
- Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert
- Proficiency with technology, including tax preparation software and CRM/sales tools
Desired Qualifications
- EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience
- Extensive knowledge of tax laws
- Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
- Passion for empowering customers and helping them overcome the complexities of taxation
- Passion for the local community and engagement with Intuit's presence
- Entrepreneurial and self-driven with a business ownership mindset
- Exceptional customer service skills, high empathy, and a friendly, professional demeanor
- Excitement to be showcased as a TurboTax - Local Service Expert in local and national marketing efforts
