Job Summary
Oversee and support tax preparation staff to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality service while managing daily office operations during peak tax season. Train, mentor, and develop tax preparers on current tax laws, procedures, and best practices. Review completed tax returns for accuracy and IRS compliance, resolve client inquiries and escalated issues professionally, and monitor team performance to drive productivity. Ensure adherence to Jackson Hewitt's policies and quality standards. Requires prior experience in tax preparation or accounting, supervisory experience, and knowledge of federal and state tax codes. Flexible work from home options available.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in tax preparation, accounting, or a related financial field
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes and IRS regulations
- Proficiency with tax software and basic computer applications
- PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) required or ability to obtain one
Desired Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
