Job Summary
On-site TaxPrep Account Manager who reviews client tax documentation for completeness and accuracy, identifies gaps, engages clients to obtain missing information, and advances files to a preparer-ready stage to enable timely filing. Handles a dedicated caseload with minimal oversight, communicates clearly with clients, supports Tax Preparers to deliver complete, well-organized files, and escalates complex tax scenarios to leadership when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Active CTEC registration or PTIN/CAF number
- At least 1 year of hands-on tax preparation or tax documentation review experience
- Strong working knowledge of common tax forms (W-2s, 1099s, prior-year returns, IRS notices)
- Experience supporting self-employed individuals, business owners, or clients with property or asset sales is strongly preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify missing or inconsistent tax information
- Professional, confident verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Comfort using CRM systems and document management tools
- Client-first mindset with the ability to balance empathy and accountability
