Job Summary
Managing Director, National Tax ASC 740 at the Washington National Tax Office leads tax accruals and ASC 740-10 (FAS 109 and FIN 48), collaborates with tax leadership to drive communication efficiencies, develops firm-wide training programs, coordinates with WNT and leadership to execute strategy, supervises and develops staff, and may lead marketing campaigns. The role requires deep understanding of ASC 740 tax issues, ability to explain complex tax provisions to clients, involvement in risk management and quality control, and strong communication and project-management skills. Salary range across National/DC markets is $190,000–$300,000 with potential for broader responsibilities and leadership within the National Tax practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, required
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation, preferred
- LLM Tax and/or MST/MBT, preferred
- Ten (10) or more years of prior experience, required
- Experience in managing the process of preparing and auditing ASC740 computations for both privately held and publicly traded clients, required
- Prior supervisory experience, required
- CPA certification, preferred
