Job Summary
Tax Manager, Transaction Advisory Services leading engagement teams on due diligence and structuring engagements for transactions pursued by private equity and strategic buyers/sellers; identify and analyze tax risks and opportunities, advise on alternative tax strategies for acquisition/disposition/restructuring; review merger agreements and provide opinion letters; analyze tax computations in financial models and assist in quantitative/qualitative tax data analysis for transactions; manage risk and financial performance of engagements including budgeting, billing, and collection; collaborate with BDO offices globally and mentor junior staff to support career progression; travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics (required)
- Five (5) or more years of experience in professional services (required)
- One (1) or more years of TAS specific experience (preferred)
- CPA certification, Attorney admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction, or Enrolled Agent (EA) or equivalent (required)
- Ability and willingness to travel (required)
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax (preferred)
- Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) with a focus on tax (preferred)
- Other professional degrees or certifications applicable to the role (preferred)
