Job Summary
Tax Manager leads tax compliance engagements for clients, reviews returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990, 1041), supervises and develops a team of tax professionals, trains and motivates staff, maintains client relationships, and ensures timely delivery of high-quality work. The role requires strong client service, supervision of 3-4 preparers, proficiency with Excel and tax software (CCH a plus), and the ability to adapt to changing tax laws. The position offers a hybrid work schedule and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA in Accounting
- EA certification; CPA planned
- Minimum 3 years of experience within a public accounting firm
- Minimum 4 years of experience preparing/reviewing tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990, 1041)
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a tax setting
- Proven demonstration of tax compliance across a broad range of entity types and multiple states
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and tax preparation and research software systems (CCH is a plus)
