Job Summary
Prepare Self-Assessment personal tax returns, P11D forms, and Capital Gains Tax computations for a portfolio ranging from sole traders to owner-managed businesses. Communicate with colleagues, clients, and HMRC via telephone, email, and writing to handle ad-hoc tax queries and projects. This role supports the Sumer Group's ethos of community and professional growth within a UK-based accountancy practice.
Required Qualifications
- ATT qualification (or part-qualified) or qualified by experience
- Proven experience within a similar role
- Strong technical expertise in personal tax, partnership tax and Capital Gains Tax
- Experience in coaching and training junior members of the team
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in CCH is preferred, but not essential as full training and support will be provided
- Sound tax advisory knowledge in owner managed businesses covering IHT, CGT, Income Tax and Company Tax issues would be preferred but is not essential
