Tax Manager – Real Estate

Job Summary
Tax Manager will oversee real estate-focused tax engagements for international investors, manage compliance and review processes, develop staff members, and provide high-quality service for clients investing in U.S. commercial, residential, and mixed-use real estate assets. The role is based in Atlanta, GA with on-site presence strongly preferred; hybrid arrangements may be considered, but fully remote candidates cannot be accommodated. Responsibilities include reviewing federal and state partnership and non-resident individual income tax returns, managing project workflows and deadlines, conducting technical tax research on real estate-related issues, maintaining clear client communications, mentoring and performance feedback for staff, delegating and guiding the team to success, and collaborating with partners/senior leadership on proposals and business development. Qualifications include 5+ years of federal and state tax experience (preferably in public accounting), experience preparing/ reviewing partnership and individual tax returns, strong technical review and project management skills, CPA or equivalent certification, and bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting/Taxation with excellent communication and analytical abilities. Preferred qualifications include 6–7 years of real estate private equity tax compliance and experience with ProSystem fx Engagement and CCH Axcess.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of federal and state income tax experience
- CPA or similar certification required
- BA/BS in Accounting or Master’s in Accounting/Taxation
