Job Summary
Tax Manager for the Private Client Services team, overseeing tax planning and consulting for high net worth clients and managing the local PCS practice. Responsibilities include technical planning for private entities (C-Corp, S-Corp, Trusts, Partnerships), timely filing of tax returns, responding to federal/state notices, representing clients in audits, coaching and developing a high-performing team, and managing multiple estate, gift, and fiduciary engagements. Review estate (Form 706), gift (Form 709), and fiduciary (Form 1041) income tax returns and related schedules; build long-term client relationships; translate complex tax issues into client-ready insights; and contribute to business development. Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax, CPA certification, 6+ years of tax experience in public accounting, and strong interpersonal/communication skills. This is a full-time role with a flexible hybrid schedule based in Providence, RI or Boston, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax
- CPA certification required
- 6+ years of technical tax experience in public accounting
- Strong experience with individual taxation (high net worth)
- Researching tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Familiarity and willingness to perform all types of tax work from entity to individual
- Ability to manage multiple high-level work simultaneously
- Ability to translate complex data from a range of sources into client-ready insights and deliverables
- Developed public accounting management experience
