Tax Manager

Job Summary
Oversee tax compliance, projections, and planning projects while serving as the primary client contact for assigned engagements. Supervise associates and seniors to ensure timely, high-quality service, performing primary reviews of tax returns and written advice. Advise clients on tax implications of business objectives, handle routine questions and audits from federal and state agencies, and mentor staff through training on tax software and departmental procedures. Stay current on tax law developments, identify high-risk engagement issues, and collaborate with partners to resolve technical tax problems. Meet assigned chargeable hour goals within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA license
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting procedures and GAAP
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multitask
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
Desired Qualifications
- Five to twelve years of public accounting experience preferred
- Experience in the construction industry preferred
