Job Summary
Manage and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and other entities, with a significant focus on real estate clients and transactions. Provide proactive tax planning, research, and advisory services to identify tax-saving opportunities and communicate recommendations clearly. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing multiple engagements, deadlines, budgets, and workflow priorities while reviewing work prepared by staff for accuracy and compliance. Mentor junior team members through training and constructive feedback. Assist clients with tax notices, audits, and inquiries from federal and state agencies, collaborating with partners and departments to deliver comprehensive client service. Support firm growth through strong relationship development and identification of additional service opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Active CPA license
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Five or more years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing complex partnership, corporate, and individual tax returns
- Meaningful experience with real estate taxation and partnership structures
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and compliance requirements
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring accounting professionals
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines during busy periods
