Job Summary
Tax Manager to oversee domestic and international tax compliance for fund entities, AIVs, holding companies, and the management company; manage portfolio company K-1 collection and investor K-1 issuance; coordinate FATCA reporting, FBARs, 1042s, and 1099s with outside tax service providers; develop and maintain tax allocation waterfalls and distribution schedules; prepare holding company financial statements and tax allocation schedules; manage PTP tracking and tax basis fund allocations; ensure timely state and local tax payments across multiple jurisdictions; serve as the primary internal liaison to external tax service providers; work with the CFO and finance team on tax estimates and projections; support the broader finance function in a lean team environment.
Required Qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience in partnership tax compliance
- Background at a Big 4 or large public accounting firm with PE fund clients, or in-house tax experience at a private equity firm of similar complexity
- Deep experience with tax allocation waterfalls and pass-through entity investments
- Exposure to non-US fund structures, foreign investments, and foreign investors (FATCA, FBAR, 1042s)
- CPA preferred
