Job Summary
Lead tax engagements for high net worth individuals, closely held businesses, and trusts by planning, budgeting, executing, and delivering complex multi-jurisdictional returns. Analyze client business needs to identify tax issues, articulate conclusions, and develop proactive savings strategies and wealth preservation solutions. Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while ensuring timely, accurate filings and regulatory compliance. Review team member work to maintain quality and accuracy, providing constructive feedback. Cultivate long-term client relationships and support business development efforts as a key point of contact. Requires an active CPA license, five years of progressive public accounting experience, and expertise in estate, gift, and trust tax laws. Hybrid schedule available.
Required Qualifications
- Active CPA license
- 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience
- focus on HNW tax planning, compliance, and consulting
- Deep understanding of estate, gift, and trust tax laws
- Expertise in IRC Sections 671-679 (Grantor Trust rules) and estate tax law principles
- Familiarity with family office services and private foundation structures
- Proven expertise in overseeing complex client engagements
- Ability to develop tax planning strategies for clients
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g, CCH Axcess)
- Experience supervising, training, developing, and reviewing the work of staff and senior associates
- A Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Accounting
