Job Summary
Review 1040, corporate, and partnership tax returns, including estates and trusts, while applying strong research skills to interpret complex federal and multi-state compliance issues. Supervise staff and manage multiple tax engagements, translating technical matters into practical guidance for middle-market and high-net-worth clients. Mentor team members and collaborate on client service engagements within a hybrid work environment. This role offers a partner track opportunity for a CPA with six years of public accounting experience.
Required Qualifications
- CPA license
- Master's degree in tax or willingness to obtain (GMA paid)
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex individual and business tax returns
- Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance and planning
- Experience supervising staff and managing tax engagements
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance and planning
- Ability to research and interpret complex tax issues
- Experience with tax software, research platforms, and financial systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong client service mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships
- Ability to translate complex tax matters into practical guidance for clients
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications

- Master's degree in taxation preferred
- Experience with ProSystems Engagement and ProSystems Axcess
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, or related field
