Job Summary
Prepare and review corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns while overseeing compliance with federal, state, and local laws to ensure all deadlines are met. Supervise, train, and review the work of junior tax staff, providing proactive tax planning and consulting to small and midsize business clients. Research complex tax issues and clearly communicate findings to partners and clients, managing client relationships, timelines, and engagement budgets. This in-office role at a stable, well-established Phoenix CPA firm offers mentorship opportunities within a collaborative environment, with flexibility for occasional remote work when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Active CPA license
- 5–8 years of public accounting experience
- significant corporate and business compliance exposure
- Proven experience preparing and reviewing Form 1120, 1120S, and 1065
- Proficiency in tax preparation software such as CCH Axcess, UltraTax, or Lacerte
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
