Job Summary
Lead design and ongoing development of Haleon's MEA corporate tax strategy; manage the delivery of the effective tax rate across the MEA region; ensure governance and compliance with group external tax obligations; collaborate with external advisors to optimize the regional tax profile; drive tax optimization, risk mitigation, and real-time tax input on projects; partner with Group Tax and business units to enable strategic tax outcomes; oversee tax audits and commercial negotiations with local tax authorities; support tax matters in government affairs and tax incentives/rulings; build relationships with authorities across different territories; contribute to tax efficiency in M&A & divestitures; lead cross-cultural teams while delivering on Haleon's Win as One strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer or accountant
- 12+ years of broad proven experience with direct taxes across MEA in both large accounting firms and multinational corporations
- Fluent in English
- Broad understanding of corporate taxes across MEA
- Experience leading relationships with tax authorities across MEA
- Strong knowledge of international tax principles and transfer pricing frameworks (including OECD guidance)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
- Advanced negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to solve complex problems independently and lead projects
- Strong finance partnering capability
